Hey everyone,
So our Christmas eve fly out was not so good. The lines were VERY SHORT but our plane was coming from back east some where and got a HUGE delay. Okay it wasn't as huge as it could have been, but it was about 4 hours. For those of you that don't have toddlers... being stranded at the airport with a toddler you can come up with some pretty interesting things to do. For instance Joe took Zoey for a walk and they found a moving side walk. He put her down on it and had her walk the oposite way (so she wasn't really moving) and then he would run up ahead and stop (so he was moving towards her). He would swoop her up and tickle her. I will have to post some pictures when we get back to Utah. We got to know the SLC airport pretty well and for those of you that don't know... its not really a sight to see. On a good note, we got our own row of seats since the plane was only about 1/3 booked. It was nice to have Zoey inbetween us so she could kind of walk on the plane.
ZoZo got a lot for Christmas this year from "Santa" (we are not going to teach her about Santa so basically Grandma and Grandpa Kemp). My parents' friend is an artist and did some paintings of Zoey for us. I photo shoped some pictures and she painted around them. I'll have to post some pictures of those too. Her uncle Erik got her some of his favorite books from his childhood including, "The Giving Tree" and another board book. She also got a stand up play piano and rocking horse that neighs and moves its head. Those are some of her favorite toys... thank goodness we are leaving them here in CO!
Joe is loving being on vacation! He got the new Ender's Game book by Orson Scott Card, a DVD and some gloves. I got some cashemere lotion, a DVD and some other little things. But our most favorite part is being with family and spending time with each other.
