K tons of things have happened this month. Our little family is part of a group called Early Head Start. A family educator comes to our house every week and they teach us how to teach Z. Its a lot of fun! Last week we watched Z learn to sort colors and shapes by her self. This week I think we are going to teach her about using her different muscle groups. It necessarily important for her to learn her ABC's (although she knows most of the alphabet now and how to count to 5). The program just emphasizes teaching her things that are at her level of learning like social skills such as sharing and taking turns. But anyway... the program gets the parents really involved and every week there is some sort of "Baby buddy group" where all the families get together and let the kids play and there is always a meal served. Last week the fire truck came and we had pizza and let the kiddos play on the toddler friendly play ground. Also once a month the parents have a meeting for just adults. Yesterday's was at Golden Coral and I was sworn in as Chairman of of the Board of Directors and also a spokes person for Bear River Head Start. Its going to be busy....but SO fun! I am so excited to get involved with Z's life and I can't wait to start! I also graduate on the 25th but i'm am planning on being a stay at home mom and volunteering with my kid's life.
Another swearing in happens in our family on Tuesday. That's right! Joe is in the 115th Communication division out of Draper and gets sworn in on Tuesday. I am so happy Z and I are going to be able to make it down because we love Joe and his dad is going to be doing it!
Z has discovered that she likes to sleep on the floor instead of her bed. Every morning I find her on the floor instead of her bed for some reason... but i have learned never to wake a sleeping kid so I don't move her and just put a blanket over her.
