Red Rocks

On Wednesday Nana took the day off and we decided to try and go to Tiny Town and let Z play around the tiny buildings and take a ride on the Tiny town express... well their website was wrong and they were actually closed, so we decided to take a walk around at Dinosaur ridge, but we couldn't find it. After driving around we chose to climb around on the Red Rocks Ampatheature. It was so fun! A beautiful day and a good day to get out and hike around. For those of you that that don't know what Red Rocks is, it used to be one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. It was build by a group of men that Theodore Roosevelt organised and put them to work. It was part of the working programs that helped our country get out of the great depression. Since that time many people and musical groups have come to preform at this natural ampatheature and enjoy the natural acoustics and beautiful scenery. Its a very steep hike/walk up the stairs so many Coloradans come and enjoy getting a cardiac work out running up the stairs. We took our time hiking up to the top.

After hiking up the stairs and the ridges, we took Z to dig for dinosaur bones at a local museum where she got to see her favorite dinosaur the T-REX and she named its head, "Buddy" after one of her favorite shows "Dinosaur train".

When we got back to Nana and Papa's house I called her down for dinner and she came running out of my parent's room ridding on her Camel... it was hilarious needless to say.
