Amazing Adventure

Another one of the main characteristics of autism is having an ACTIVE interest in something... Well for our home it is ANIMALS and the color purple :-D. On one of our trips to Colorado I decided to take the kids to The Wild Animal Sanctuary. They rescue abused animals and animals that are kept illegally. The stories are tragic and shows the sad side of animal entertainment industry and the animals that people have as pets illegally as well as legally that they cannot take care of. The Sanctuary is amazing that they provide so much land per animal to roam. We happened to be there on the day that they brought in a Kodiak Grizzly bear. He was used for posing in pictures and did some acting... the man kept him in his back year with a 6 foot fence and chained.
