November 2011

So we had three thanksgiving dinners. Not all people can say they had 3 wonderfully prepared thanksgiving dinners! Okay only two I guess... we were only there for the preparation of the first of three with Joe's family. We were able to make it to Joe's mom's house to see his Grandma. Let me say that she is such a wonderful lady! We love her! The girls loves being able to play with their Great grandma First and foremost, she makes the BEST sweet potatoes and she works her magic with some walnuts and some brown sugar... by far the most delicious sweet potatoes I have ever had and NO MARSHMALLOWS (thats my favorite part!). After snitching some food off the cutting boards and out of the oven, we trecked up to Logan for my family's dinner. It was a great time to be able to spend it with my family and to get all the great grandkids together. There are now 5 great grandkids and soon to be 7 when my cousin has her twins.

First off, Joe got a job as a mechanical engineer with Speed Sheild, its a global company that allows him to fix up machines. I think that he likes this job a lot better than sitting behind a desk. I must also add that I put his resume into this job. The down side of a feild job is that he travels almost 50% of the time. Later next month, he gets to travel to our loved Virginia for a service call. Anyway so he met me and the girls in UT, and yes, I did the plane ride with both girls all by myself... thank you to the USO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway... back to thanksgiving dinner... My uncle Joe caused a greece fire in the kitchen... it was hilarious and Zoey got to play with her favorite 2nd Cousin. It was a lot of fun to see Grandma with all the great grandkids.

Technology,

Joe and I have officially become tech a holics... by that I mean we now own two lap tops and an Android tablet. Merry Christmas, Happy New year, Happy birthday and happy anniversary to us. Oh and he also got us a new camera for my laptop. (It has one but its a dinosaur and doesn't work very well). We love the tablet, but are still trying to figure the thing out.

Houses,
We are trying to find a house and in the process of doing so we have discovered that we hate being responsible adults ha! I miss being able to rely on parents for everything. The possibility of building a house scares me, but it is also very exciting. We are just waiting to find out where the company is wanting him to train and work.
